Belinda Tyrrell

I've lived in Tiptree since 2013 and I'm blessed to have family including grandchildren that live here too.

 

I've been working as a volunteer with TYP/CITY for some years now, and it's been wonderful to see our young people grow and develop from children to young adults. My Friday evenings are spent in the kitchen at Tiptree URC running a snack bar at pocket money prices. We produce hot snacks and drinks and about halfway through the evening we sit round the table with our young people and eat together.  This is a great time to connect, and we have some interesting and funny conversations!

 

For me this is a great de-stressor from my job as a community nurse. I also love to unwind with reading, walks, occasional kayaking and fun days out with my grandchildren.
